So, tomorrow morning I am taking the Graduate Record Examination (GRE). I'm not really looking forward to this ordeal, but hopefully once I'm done with it I won't end up having to retake it. This is why I've been rather inactive again for the last week or so ... I've been studying like crazy. At this point, though, I am so fed-up-sick-and-tired of studying that I'm ready to just punt and hope for the best. I really HATE standardized tests. I'm especially not looking forward to the essay part -- that's probably what I'm going to do worst on.

I have a lot of doubts about everything related to graduate school, actually. I keep wondering whether it's right for me ... and whether I'm right for it. Am I really up to the challenge? I sure hope so, but I don't really know. I'm confused by some aspects of the application process, which doesn't help when the deadlines are approaching rapidly. I'm worried about whether I can obtain strong recommendations from my professors, all of whom I feel like I haven't impressed much. Most of all, I'm terrified by my lack of an adequate backup plan. I seriously have no idea what I'll do if I'm not accepted into any of the schools I apply to.

I guess I just feel pretty frustrated and disheartened right now. I feel like I am trying to do waaaaaaay too many things at the moment and not doing any of them well. Doing more artwork would probably help my mood, if I could just find the time for it. Or perhaps I should follow Dad's advice and take up racquetball -- except that since I'm no good whatsoever at sports, having one more thing to work on and be lousy at would probably not be very helpful to my overall mood. Meh.

On the other hand, I still doodle in the margins of my class notes and meeting agendas to stay sane. I've almost finished scanning the last year or more's worth of little sketches, so those will be up soon.
